Concepts At A Glance

Whether you’re new to Agile or looking to deepen your understanding, here’s a quick introduction to four of the most widely used frameworks and tools in modern work environments: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and OKR.

Kanban

Visual method for managing work as it flows through a process. Teams use a Kanban board to limit work in progress (WIP), improve efficiency, and identify bottlenecks. Unlike Scrum, Kanban is not time-bound and supports continuous delivery.

Scrum

Lightweight, team-based Agile framework designed for delivering products in short, time-boxed cycles called Sprints. It emphasizes clear roles, regular feedback, and continuous improvement—helping teams deliver working solutions quickly and collaboratively.

OKR (Objectives & Key Results)

Goal-setting framework used to align individual, team, and organizational efforts toward measurable outcomes. Teams define ambitious objectives and track progress using key results – promoting focus, transparency, and accountability.

SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)

Framework that extends Agile principles to large organizations by aligning multiple teams around shared business goals. It integrates practices from Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and DevOps, and is ideal for scaling Agile across departments and portfolios.
